The website is scheduled to go online April 2, 2012 and we would like to have Kansas artists’ work available for the opening, however this initial call will remain open through June 15, 2012. What is the quality assurance you have for those customers who do purchase your piece?

 

But wait… another thing you might want to consider before you start uploading your work to sites such as Fine Art America: You will not find another website that will give you the profit margin that is available at Art Print Express. Most sites offer your art with a 15% or less commission on your work. Here at Art Print Express we believe that the artist should get paid a fair commission for their work, we are offering our artists 60% on commissions on a price negotiated with the artist. The other advantage is that if you wish to produce prints for yourself to make them available at an art fair or other venue, we can accommodate you with the wholesale print price as well because, once your work is in the system the order is only a phone call or email away.

If your work is selected, to insure quality prints, Art Print Express asks to digitize your work from the original piece and it will be color corrected by looking at the original and approved by the artist with a 5” color proof. For this first offering, ending June 15, 2012, we will digitize up to 3 select pieces of your work for free and make them available online for our Print-on-demand service. Our digitizing fee is typically $10 which is a savings of up to $30 and a great opportunity to show your work to the world, however if you already have quality digital images of your work a proof can be produced with our system for your approval.

 

Art Print Express wants to work with each artist personally. This is not a self-service, upload and forget it option because we would like to make sure every print is “artist approved.” Once sent through the authorization process, your work will be made available on our website by our staff. Only the artist accepted proof is printed until a customer or the artist places the order. Our Print-on-Demand process allows you to make your original artwork for sale as “artist approved” fine-art giclée reproductions online.
