Artist: Shelly Bedsaul
Borrowing from mythology, philosophy, music, quantum theory and all things internal, Shelly Bedsaul’s imagery often have two meanings, the first, a simple visual, and the second, symbols of inner thoughts, mood and soul. Through independent study she has gathered her talents from the school of life; she has been a graphic designer for the gaming industry in Nevada, a forensic artist in California and a gallery director in Kansas.
Shelly’s style ranges from the realistic to the abstract with color and defined spaces as the uniting factors in her work and she creates her visions in oil, acrylic, colored pencil, block printing, and recently adding digital photography to her list. “If there are an infinite number of things to see, there must be an infinite number of ways to record it,” says Shelly about her work. She now makes her home in Topeka, KS and works as the proprietor of Foole’s Dream Studio located in the growing North Topeka Arts District (NOTO). Her work can be found in private collections around the world and across the country.
