Artist: Julie Betzen Tilton

With gentle touch of nostalgia, Julie Betzen Tilton produces images of the familiar with subtle color distinctions and a tender stroke of the hand. Her subjects become endearing as she finds the truths of nature to inspire her composition and sets the scene with a richness of surface whether it be visual or tactile. With a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Wichita State University, Julie has numerous honors and awards including a continuous full tuition scholarship to the School for the Wichita Center for the Arts where she taught classes as a graduate student. Throughout her career she has exhibited extensively in Kansas, Nebraska, and Georgia.
