The beautifully compelling paintings of Daska reflect a classic and elegant style in rich and earthy tones. Often influenced by her travels through Europe, America, and her home-state of Kansas, Daska believes in capturing the mood and beauty in everyday scenes. In contrast, Daska can also delve just as skillfully into a sense of whimsy, portraits, or enigmatic abstracts.
Daska, an artist and illustrator formally trained at Parsons The New School of Design, New York, and the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas, has a bachelor of Fine Arts degree with most of her vocational experience in marketing, promotions and the production/film industry. Having moved over 30 times living in New York, Germany, Seattle and the Midwest, Daska found her art an excellent creative outlet to relay her impressions and the beauty of a constantly changing world.
Besides pastels, Daska also paints in acrylics, and is currently working on writing and illustrating children’s books.
